Accessibility statement
Comet Fence is committed to making our website usable by people with a wide range of abilities. This statement describes our current goals and how you can reach us if you need help.
Last updated: April 28, 2026.
1. Our goal
We strive to meet the accessibility standards commonly used for public-facing websites in the United States, including conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.1 at Level AA, where technically feasible using our design system and content tools. Accessibility is ongoing work: as we add pages, images, forms, or third-party features, we aim to preserve keyboard access, semantic structure, sufficient contrast, and clear labels consistent with WCAG-aligned practices.
2. Measures we take on this site
To support accessibility and inclusive use, our site architecture includes:
- Skip link — A “Skip to content” link at the top of each page lets keyboard and screen reader users bypass repeated navigation where supported by the browser.
- Semantic headings and landmarks — Page titles and headings are used to organize content logically; main content is wrapped in a main landmark.
- Keyboard navigable navigation — Primary navigation exposes a mobile menu with standard controls; focus outlines are preserved for interactive elements.
- Forms — Contact and quote forms associate labels with controls, mark required inputs, surface validation messages, and identify consent for follow-up clearly.
- Responsive layout — Content adapts to different screen sizes and orientations without requiring horizontal scrolling for core reading flow.
3. Third-party content and embedded features
Some parts of the site rely on third parties we do not fully control—most notably Google Maps embeds, which may behave differently depending on Google’s player or your browser extensions. Alternate ways to locate us include our address and phone number on each page footer and directions provided when you schedule service. Links to social media or review sites when present are subject to those platforms’ own accessibility.
4. Alternative formats and reasonable assistance
If you have difficulty using this website or need information in an alternative format (for example, large print or a phone-based walkthrough of our services), please contact us. We will work with you in good faith to provide reasonable assistance during Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:30 PM, consistent with our operational capacity.
5. Feedback and support
We welcome feedback on accessibility barriers. When you contact us, please include:
- The page address (URL) where you noticed the issue;
- A short description of what happened (for example, “focus was trapped in the menu” or “insufficient contrast on a button”); and
- Your browser and assistive technology, if you know them (for example, Safari + VoiceOver on iPhone).

6. Legal framework (informational)
Multiple laws and standards may apply to digital accessibility, including Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) in certain contexts, Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act for federal programs, and Florida’s civil rights laws regarding places of public accommodation. Requirements continue to evolve through regulation and court decisions. This statement is not a guarantee of compliance with any particular legal standard; it describes our good-faith efforts and how to request help.
7. Continued improvement
We review our site periodically for usability and accessibility. If you have suggestions beyond a specific barrier—such as ways to make our service area maps easier to understand—we would like to hear them.
